My mother speaks out
I bought these 2 lovely (or so I thought) blouses from one of my favorite stores. They were having this 50% sale promo and being a sale-loving-addict, I never had second thoughts on buying these...
The first blouse is a white chinese collared blouse with several embroidered flowers in front. Being a fan of chinese-collared blouses, I bought this without any hesitation (and besides, it is 50% off the marked price....) I was supposed to wear it 2 days after but changed my mind. But lo and behold, when I went into the office the next day, my officemate was wearing the exact same thing! Well, that's fine with me, as long as we don't wear the same thing on the same day. I should have known this is a premonition that I shouldn't have bought the blouse. When I decided to wear it, my ever honest mother blurted out "Hija, bago na naman yan...mukha kang waiter ah" Hanep! I wanted to get back in the house and strip the blouse off my body! But I was prevented from doing so as my mother is going to be late for work... Had no choice but to wear the waiter-ish clothing to office. Lucky for me, she was the only one who had that remark on my new blouse. It's either nobody had the same mind with my mother or nobody had the guts to tell me point-blank how I look like.
The second one is a long sleeved flower-printed polo blouse. I'm partial to plain colored polos and so this is my first time I bought one. I thought this was a very lovely one too...(and so I thought again). The first time I wore this, my mother remarked, "Uy, matutulog ka ulit?" Naman nanay! I thought that was funny, and so I laughed and laughed. She thought that was funny too. This time, I didn't want to change the blouse I have on. I love it and I don't care what other people think. And well, I never thought I bought a pajama-look-alike-blouse until my mother told me about it.
Lesson learned: Ask help from my little sister (who's very much stylish than I am) or even from my mother whenever I'm going to buy ANYTHING that I'm going to wear (so much for not caring what other people think huh! == hehehe)
